I bought these for my husband when he started work in an IT place from college and needed “business casual attire” I originally bought 2 pairs of them. One pair ripped from the crotch down to the knee within a few weeks. I ran up and bought him a pair of the “Clean” Docket style pants. Let me tell you -don’t bother. Stay with the Signature, for the reason that they wrinkle insanely and if you work a job where you are up and down out a chair your pants will look horrible. The signature D3 does stay pleated and is much more wrinkle resistant.
I originally bought 2 pair, and within a week 1 pair tore in the crotch. I couldn’t really him a bigger size as the next size up would have swum on him. So I chalked it up to he snagged something and bought another pair for him for work. It happens; no harm no foul type situation. The next order I actually ordered the D2 style (the difference I can see is D3 seem to be roomier then the D2 and lack the permanent crease – and the D2 wrinkle A LOT easier). He says [both styles] they are really comfortable to wear even for his extended work days (he has a 2 hour drive to work, 8 hour work day, 2 hours home) and they tend to whisk sweat away where they need to and allow you to stay warm at the same time (he said men will understand, I myself have no clue). I have noticed when he gets home the rear of his pants doesn’t show a great deal of wrinkling despite the nature of his job being on his knees crawling around, up and down from an office chair, and all the other various movements he does in a normal day.
Washing them isn’t difficult honestly. I wash then in cold water in a perm press dry cycle and hang them up. If my husband does laundry they are washed in whatever the washer/dryer is set to, wadded up in a pile for days. Both cases – they really are wrinkle resistant. So that is a huge plus because I would have to be very angry if I had to iron at 4:30am. After 2 months of wear they are holding up well. However if you are torn between the D2 style and D2 style…do the D3 (especially if for a work purpose). They are overall nicer in design and style.
