I have had this trimming knife for years and love the unique shape of this knife way better than a regular shaped paring knife. Also the Henkels Pro S knives are high quality and last for many many years. I have had two of these knives in my kitchen for ten years or so because I, my husband, and my kids were always grabbing for this same knife. Now that my daughter has her own apartment, I got her her own Henkels Pro S trimming knife for Christmas. She was thrilled to get this knife! We are fans of this knife and the Henkels Pro S

The Henckels Pro S series are the only cooking knives I own except a Henckels 4 star I bought it 1982, which is still working fine 36 years later. Have them sharpened every couple of years unless you really know your way around sharpening stones. Use the steel every time and they will last a lifetime. Thick heavy forged blade, bolster and tang. Attractive and comfortable wood scales, best knives in the world in my opinion.
This particular Henckels Pro S is your go to paring knife. It would be the fifth knife I would acquire after the 8 and 10" chef's, the boning knife and 4" utility and the Pro S steel, of course.

If you have read my comments on the other Zwilling J. A. Henckels' knives, I purchased several of them. The best way and most economical way to purchase these knives would be in a set. Try to find one that includes the stand. This will keep all of the knives separate and in one place. There will be less chance of damaging the blades. I do not work for this company. Just thought I would say that.
