Expensive fancy candles are a bit of a splurge for me these days, and I don't do it very often. But I bought this one as a Mother's Day gift, because my mom and I used to be really into scented candles. Votivo's Deep Clover was a favorite, and I thought she'd find it nostalgic. While you probably won't smell this candle and say, "Oh, that smells just like clover," (because how many people know what clover smells like?), it really is a wonderful, clean, fresh, outdoorsy scent that isn't overpowering. If you like powerfully sweet florals or sinus-clearing smells like eucalyptus, you might not be impressed. This is a pretty, grassy, subtle fragrance that manages to fill the room, but not so strong that it's distracting. Votivo makes really nice candles in general, but I think this is one of their best.

Unlike other Votivo candles I have bought, this one does not fill the room with a scent. The scent is reminiscent of bathroom cleaners or Febreeze. I love their Red Currant candle, as it smells heavenly and fills up the room with scent.

Fills the room with a very pure and beautiful scent. And lasts a long time. This one was paying forward a gift -- I was given my first one and was sure it would make a lovely gift for a friend's birthday. Oh, and the packaging is exquisite. I'm looking forward to trying out other Votivo Aromatic scents.
