I purchased it because I wanted to add a larger bowl to our Chirp collection, and being labeled as a "tall" bowl I expected this to be larger than the "all purpose" bowls that came with the set. When they arrived, I was pretty disappointed. Yes, they are slightly taller, but also a smaller diameter to the "all purpose" bowls. Both bowls hold roughly the same amount of liquid.This bowl is ~5 3/4" diameter and 3 1/8" tall with a narrower tapering base, compared to the "all purpose" bowl at ~6.5" diameter and 2 3/8" tall.Absolutely gorgeous bowls, just wish they held more.

These were not what I thought I was buying but I kept them because they are beautiful and useful. I have a set of soup bowls in this series and I was trying to replace one which we broke. I didn't pay close enough attention to the measurements and ended up with these small little delicate bowls. They are so nice, I kept them. I also was impressed by the quality of the packing. They were extremely well protected. These are wonderful, just make sure you check the size.

I love these dessert bowls. I had originally purchased 4 of them in red from a Lenox store on clearance. I came to find out the red was discontinued and was unable to find them anywhere. I use these bowls every day and go through them too quickly so I ordered 4 more from Amazon in the blue. The only difference between the red and blue is the size of the colored band at the top (blue is thinner). These bowls are perfect for desserts like ice cream, rice pudding, etc. I also use them for yogurt or fruit with meals. I also have all the other items in the Lenox Chirp collection and love them all. They feel solid without being too heavy or bulky.
