However, upon closer inspection and in the actual wearing of it, the cons are these:
Quality of fabric is not horrible, but definitely unsatisfactory. It's a mesh fabric (not smooth microfiber), and seems to get dirty all on its own. Even minor water droplets stain the appearance, and won't come out.
The inner top of the shoe feels like cardboard, and also scrapes against the top of (at least) my feet. So much so, even while wearing dress socks, the abrasion took off skin.
With such cheap construction, no surprise that the top part of the shoe, after only the first three uses, started to lose its shape. Denting, dropping, and creasing in the fabric that will quickly get worse.
Finding the right fit was a MAJOR and very time-consuming hassle. I wear size 5.5 (U.S.), medium width. For decades, it's been extremely rare for me to either go a half-size up or down on ANY type of shoe*. I had to purchase two sizes, in sequence, until I found a closer size that fit me. But, even then, having gone a half-size down, the shoe still fits long in the length on me. Just enough for me to walk in, without my heels coming out of the shoe, but just barely. (Inserting a Dr. Scholl's shoe pad doesn't help, either.)
Despite its attractive outward appearance (online), the shoe's functional structure isn't designed well. It just doesn't conform to the foot right, as a decently-made shoe should. As a result, my feet don't feel secure while walking in them. A lousy feeling that also affects my gait and posture. So, probably not good for the body overall, musculo-skeletal wise.
The shoe's poor, inner construction also means that my feet aren't properly supported -- sole and everything. After a few minutes walking in them, my feet become sore. (Typically, not a problem for me at all, in a decently-made shoe.)
Given the above, the shoe was way overpriced when I purchased it a few short months ago.
Conclusion: this versatile-looking shoe might look nice from a moderate distance. But, believe me, it's superficial only. And, clearly, won't last long. I would've returned it, but I couldn't find any shoe that resembled its style. So, I'm putting up with it, and only wear it when I know I won't be walking in them for longer than a couple of hours.
* However, there's a disturbing design and production trend now, at least for women's shoes, where inconsistency of shoe sizes is now commonplace. Is this the new 'global marketplace' standard? Where ordinary customers are now considered unworthy to have quality items, yet the prices of which continue to go up?
